| Vancouver Island and the Georgia Strait is famous for its salmon fishing and has some of the best salmon fishing in the world. Salmon are regularly caught right off the beach just yards from Singing Sands Bed & Breakfast. In late September and October salmon fishing in our local Puntledge River is spectacular as the Chinook, Chum and Coho run the river to their spawning grounds. Special fly fishing offer for guests staying at Singing Sands B&B Mark has over 25 years experience of fly fishing and fly tying and is happy to share his knowledge with guests. Weather permitting, he will take guests to the beach for a two hour fly casting lesson (all equipment provided) for a nominal fee of C$30. At certain times of the year there is a good chance of catching a salmon or two. If required he can instruct guests in the art of fly tying (all materials provided for C$20 lesson).
