Our Location & How to
Get Here
If you're
driving:
We are very simple to find
at 1951 Singing Sands Road. From Highway 19 or 19A, turn off
into Courtenay and follow the signs to the Powell River
ferry. Just before the ferry terminal, turn right onto Wilkinson Road. Your
first left is Singing Sands Road.
If you are coming from the ferry terminal, take your first left onto
Wilkinson Road and turn left again onto Singing Sands Road.
Our bed & breakfast can be found on the left-hand side of the road,
just before the beach.
Travel to Comox:
Train - The Esquimalt &
Nanaimo Railway offers passenger
train service between Victoria and Courtenay.
Construction of this rail line was one of the conditions for British Columbia
to enter the Canadian confederation
more than 130 years ago. One of the few passenger trains left in B.C., this
train service was slated to shut down
in 2002, but Vancouver Island residents and tourists from around the world
lobbied to save it. Their efforts
paid off, and the train has been given a new lease on life. Take advantage
of this wonderful form of travel.
Spending a few hours on the train to or from Victoria is stress-free and
full of delightul scenery, from trestles
over high river gorges to lush stands of rainforest and charming, historical
town centres along the way.
- Bus - Island Coach Lines
(toll-free 1-800-318-0818) provides daily bus connections
from the Lower Mainland and Victoria.
- Airport -
Pacific Coastal Airlines
has direct daily flights from Vancouver (YRR), and
WestJet offers regular
flights to Comox YQQ from central and eastern Canada.
- Ferry
The
ferry between Comox and Powell River on B.C.'s Sunshine
Coast is just a 3-minute drive away.
